Voice Testing Meme

[Brand new, checking how well he fits. I'm primarily taking from Season 6, but I can take him from other canon points depending on the scenario.]

[I'm just really in love with this game and thing Jan is so adorable, and wanted to try my hand at playing her. My kingdom for a Tony]

[She's a brand new muse and I haven't been able to do much voice testing with her yet. She's the first canon I've played in years and the first from historical Japan. For those familiar with the manga, I'm taking Ayumu from Act 17, immediately after she first gets captured. Canonmates would be great but so would characters from similar settings!]

[New muse! I haven't RP'd since December 2013. She's from The Mummy prequel starring Dwayne Johnson. Open to anything gen and not graphically violent.]

That sure would be a little fox-like creature following Zelgadis around like a lost puppy... He might not have meant to scare off the big dog that had been tracking her for the last few days, but he had, and now she was curious.

Kit normally was more cautious than she was currently being, but she was curious. He smelled different than anything she'd encountered before, and he didn't seem to be interested in hurting her...

More like trying to ignore it, whatever the creature was, though since it didn't seem dangerous, Zelgadis hadn't tried to chase it off. The multiple tails had him worried for a bit - whatever it was it wasn't normal - but it had done absolutely nothing to him.

Aside from following him around, and while he was wary simply because he was familiar with reasonably harmless-looking things following him around and turning out to be anything but harmless, so far the first impression seemed true.

So he'd resorted to letting it do whatever it wanted, and ignoring it... aside from, maybe, providing a bit of food.

Like now.

He didn't need much, so half of the fish he'd caught was left for the little fox-like creature, half-way between the fire and where Zelgadis sat on the ground.

Kit was a bit leery of the food, but on the other paw... it had been a very long time since she'd had the luxury of fish, her stomach grumbling at her a bit. She peeked out from the bush she'd been hiding in, looked between him and that fish, trying to judge his intentions.

He'd be able to see the very obvious hesitation in her approach, peeking in and out of the bushes, clearly trying to judge if it was safe to take the fish. After a few moments of this, she slowly crept towards the fish, but kept looking over as if to ask 'is it okay?'

Once Kit reached the fish, it would be easy enough to see her very well... The six tails might be the most noticeable thing at first, until one notices that her right back leg is missing from just above the knee joint. It doesn't seem to slow her down too much though, she's clearly used to it being gone.

Zelgadis remained staring into the fire, no matter how many times the little fox-like creature stopped in its slow trek towards the fish. His hands wrapped around a mug - that and its contents was one of the few unnecessary things he indulged in carrying with him, Zelgadis glanced down first when the fish was half eaten.

Indeed, there were far more tails than there should be, and he wasn't sure he trusted that the lack of a fourth leg meant anything in regards to what it could or couldn't do... It seemed to be moving fine, after all.

Still, it was hard not to wonder how it'd lost it...

Despite being hungry and cautious, Kit didn't grab the fish and run with it, but instead ate it rather calmly and neatly... even if she did keep glancing over at Zelgadis. She did have manners while with 'company' after all.

It didn't take her all that long to clean up everything edible on it, and then glanced at the remains, as if trying to figure out want to do with them. Normally she'd just bury them, but there was a fire right there and the ground here was pretty hard...

She looked over to see what the man was doing. Despite his appearance, he reminded her more of a human than many humans she'd encountered. Perhaps it was his kindness... Willing to chance it, she started to carry whatever was left of the fish to the fire, nudging the inedible remains into it. While she didn't really feel guilt for catching and eating creatures, she was still respectful of the fact that they were alive and died to feed her.

Up until the bones were carefully nudged into the fire, there hadn't been anything strange going on, as far as Zelgadis knew animal behaviour. He'd taken the frequent glances at him as simple wariness, after all.

But when the remains were picked up, carried over to the fire and pushed in, Zelgadis paused, mug halfway to his mouth. Frowning at the fox-like creature, he still couldn't feel anything... particular from it.

Not that that necessarily meant anything, since he'd met animal-like Mazoku who'd kept a lid on their bloodlust, but still.

"Either you're a very well-trained pet that's lost, something pretending very hard to be a normal animal, or..." Zelgadis' grunt trailed off as he frowned at the creature.

The last of the most obvious possibilities was a chimera, since they could gain more intelligence even while looking very much like the animals it'd been created from and that would explain the multiple tails.

Maybe.

Kit tilted her head when he started to talk to her, or was that at her? Either way, she wasn't entirely sure what to do. She was technically a misplaced animal from another world, but she didn't know that. All she knew was that her family had vanished one day and she was on her own in the world... and she'd yet to find another of her kind.

"Vul? Vulpix... vulll?" Ok, so there was no chance he'd understand her, but she still tried. She knew she was a heck of a lot smarter than the other animals around, but she'd never tried to communicate with any of the 'two leggers'. Humans tended to chase her off, the animal like ones made her leery... she'd rather not be turned into a pelt thank you very much. Those slimy fish guys were rather creepy to her as well.

She was ready to bolt the moment he started to show aggression towards her, but at the same time, she was lonely. Pokemon were surprisingly social creatures, and even being unaware of it, she'd been alone for long enough that instinct was telling her being alone was bad...

[voicetesting like whoa, brand new, fresh out of the box.]

Arching his brow ridge when it made noises right after he spoke, Zelgadis glanced from the fire to the critter. He might not exactly be ready to relax just yet, but on the other hand it really did seem like he had nothing more than a pretty clever animal following him around.

Multiple tails or not.

"Here," he muttered, bending over the small knapsack by his feet to pull out a bit of the dried meat he carried around - he wasn't sure it'd like it, but who knew if the fish had been enough? - and held it out.

If it didn't approach in a bit, he'd toss it, but Zelgadis was also not afraid of getting bitten. His stone skin rather prevented it, after all.

Kit tensed when he reached for his bag, growling just a little as she was ready to bolt... only to stop and sniff at the air when he brought out the dried meat.

"Vul...vull?" Okay, she was curious now. It smelled like meat, but different, and it didn't look much like meat. Kit started to edge closer to him, still cautious, but also willing to give him a chance since he hadn't tried anything yet.

As long as he kept hold of that meat, she'd creep closer until she could sniff at the meat carefully. It smelled funny, not bad, just different. Kit hadn't encountered dried meat before, so she thought it was strange, new and not something she was ready to try after having had so much fish.

Instead, she bumped her head cautiously against his hand in a 'thank you, I want petting' sort of way...

Zelgadis said nothing, only holding the piece out in offering, studying the little fox-like thing while it crept closer warily. Clearly the fish had been enough - or it wasn't ready to try the dried meat if the way his hand was being bumped against was any indication.

Shrugging, he put the strip of dried meat back, since it hadn't been nibbled on or licked and picked his mug back up.

After a silent moment or two of staring into the fire, sipping from the mug, Zelgadis hesitantly dropped his free hand to the little creature's head and carefully rubbed around an ear.

Both because he was still unsure about this maybe-animal, and because he knew he was strong... and his skin was hardly soft, even if it was smooth.

Kit gave him a curious look, then tried nudging his side after he'd put the meat away. He was oddly hard, but at the same time, that didn't bother her in the slightest. He seemed to be kind, and that was good enough for her at the moment.

She's not a fragile flower, but Kit's not exactly a powerhouse either. Vulpix could get pretty darn strong if they trained, but she was young yet and still learning. Having him put his hand on her head and start rubbing by her ear? That got a happy sounding "...piiiixxx..." out of her.

He'll soon find that she's not in any hurry to go anywhere, because if he stops rubbing her head, she'll scoot closer and put her head on his leg. She's like a really warm, furry, hot water bottle, and clearly doesn't care about how hard his skin is.

[ Hassaku is a prison guard/convict (it's weird I know), inmate stuff or Hassaku being out and about (doing crime) and Finn is the good one? I could go for either. ]
