[Asuka loves her roommates, she really does, but Junko and Momoe both also favor exploring the social opportunities of college a great deal more than the academic ones, and while she can usually get Junko to side with her on studying, ever since she'd gotten her new boyfriend Asuka has been coming back to one or the other's ties on their room's doorknob every night this week!

It was only years of learned composure that kept her from just taking the door off the hinges and taking a strip out of Momoe and whoever this week's dreamboat was. Instead she'd gathered her books and made her way toward the library for another night hunched over the desk.

Well, maybe there was someone she knew there. A duel felt like just what she needed to avoid her professional career ending before it could start in premeditated homicide.]

[Yuzu could relate to Asuka's plight. Not that she had any trouble with boys being over but her roommates tended to be out at all hours of the day and night, leaving it a very quiet experience.

Sighing, Yuzu set down her pencil before rubbing her eyes tiredly. More studying and she'd be wearing glasses in a few years.

The sound of footsteps coming closer made Yuzu look up, and her expression brightened a little.] Asuka, hi. Spending the night at the library again?

[Asuka was wearing an expression that in the past had sent boys in her high school either scurrying for cover or, in one instance, actually sealing himself in a locker.

When she heard Yuzu, however, her death glare softened into more resigned exasperation. She had nothing but respect for the younger girl, and she certainly didn't deserve the Tenjoin wrath.

Managing a smile, she set her textbooks on trading cards, look, it's a valid major in this universe down on the table.]

[ The coffe place across from campus is packed when he steps inside it. Maybe because it's finals and people are tired of their dorm rooms, or maybe it's the rain that's driven everyone inside, but there's hardly room to stand let alone sit.

On the couches by the windows people are quizzing each other and studying in various groups of two or more, shouting out answers or groaning and burying their faces in pillows. The tables are covered in laptops and textbooks and people talking over them or studying in silence as they eat their muffins. After getting a coffee Steve glances around and finds that there's only one empty chair across from a dark haired girl who is staring at her textbook so hard that he thinks it might just catch on fire.

After a moment he moves towards her and the empty chair. ]

Hi. Sorry to bother you, but do you mind if I sit here?

[ He gestures around the madhouse with an apologetic smile. ]

[ Darcy wasn’t exactly used to people talking to her when she was studying. She wasn’t the party type, didn’t belong to a sorority, didn’t exactly have many friends considering she’d transferred the year before. And that was fine, she did her own thing and was even starting to toy with the idea of doing an internship for her final semester, but that was some time out. Right now? She needed to get through her Art Lit final and try really hard not to fail horribly. The Impressionist period was not her strongsuit and right now, everything was starting to blur together.

Her head snaps up at the sound of the voice, confusion bleeding into a little surprise. ]

[the oldest brother of sextuplets, Osomatsu is mischievous. if you're his roommate and he doesn't like you, he probably put chili pepper in your underwear or a live frog in your bookbag. he acts like a kid that hasn't quite grown up yet, and is into drinking and gambling. he'd be a total party animal... if he was ever invited to parties. he may be good at fighting, but his grades are average. he's mostly a pathetic nuisance. even his name means lame]

[It's loud, and noisy, and Choromatsu isn't even really sure how to get back to campus from whatever fraternity he was dragged to. He'd been dragged out by his own roommate, who wanted him to stop being such a nerdy honors stick in the mud (little did he know about the body pillow on the top bunk....) and took him to one of those neighboring weekend parties.

Popping music, lots of girls, lots of guys and drinking games, and Choromatsu is three shots and six beers deep in hell. So he does the only thing he can think of doing:

[well, this weekend was a bust. as usual, Osomatsu is sitting alone in his dorm, playing on his XBox. he's still holding out hope that the one girl that he spoke to in class on Wednesday will invite him to a party. a part of him worries that she was just being polite, or messing with him.

but... there's a faint glimmer of hope that sparks when he hears his cellphone vibrate. he pauses the game and tackle-dives his phone. his elation turns to annoyance in a split second when he reads the text.

it's a jumble of letters from his brother Choromatsu. his cheek twitches in irritation, more upset as he draws his own conclusions. Choro was drunk, and he wasn't in his room. did he get invited to a party?]

...

[he decides not to reply with a text yet. instead he just gets up, slides into his shoes and grabs his coat, and then he's heading across campus. it's easy to pick out the blue house near the library. there are people outside. partying.

how even did Choromatsu, of all people, get invited to a frat party? seething with jealousy, Osomatsu shoves his hands into his pockets and stalks to the building. no one stops him as he enters the house, and he only pauses in his trek to watch a pair of cute girls kiss. okay, that was fun. then he's on the lookout for his little bro again]
