Jail Cell Mee
The Jail Cell Meme

"What are you in for?"
Maybe you've only been arrested, or you've been convicted.
Holding cell, prison cell, your choice.
There's now bars between you and the outside world.
Hope you like your cell mate.
And your guards.

[ a pity, he wasn't even trying to be imposing. the sudden appearance of the cops in his backyard isn't exactly something he's happy about, however, especially since it's a funeral. not even an hour into the ceremony and he's forced to surrender to nekoma's unit. what a bummer.
there's going to be a need for an inquiry within the ranks. someone must've talked. he's gonna have to thin them out by the end of the year, if not sooner. he doesn't resist the arrest, but he lets them know that he won't talk without his lawyer. he's not afraid of this bust. there are worst things that he could've been caught doing, and a funeral is, in the scheme of things, a rather tame one.
he's shoved unceremoniously outside, handcuffs slipping around his wrists as he's subjected to a pat down. ]
These hurt. They're tight around my hands.

[After the others were done inspecting the manor, Kuroo led Tsukishima towards the police car. He had checked all of his pockets in case he has some hidden knives or similar. Can't be too careful.
Kuroo doesn't know the inner workings of mafia. He's not specialized in that area. He's more bust in, capture criminals, do tons of paperwork until 3am at the police station kind of guy.
Kuroo huffed, tugging at the handcuffs-] Sorry, princess, get used to it. [He opens the door to the car and ushers the blond in. He's not going to a hotel, he better 'wake up' soon. Kuroo enters the driver's seat and starts the engine, nodding at the other officers that pass him by with the rest of the arrested people.]

[ he winks at a rather unimpressed officer as he makes his way into the back of the car. it's roomy enough that he can sit back and relax. ]
For a Prince Charming, though, you're not being very romantic at all. [ he taps the window of the car, partly to test how strong it is and partly to make a point. ] I also need a more impressive carriage.
[ rather dryly, ] Is this your first time? You're a lot younger than most who come to court me.
no subject
Not first time at arresting, but first time getting involved with mafia raid. [He grins in the mirror-] Don't worry, your castle will be great. You can make friends with mice, just like Cinderella.
[Going back and forth with this guy shouldn't be this fun.]
no subject
And the mice got her out, last I recall. Maybe that'll happen to me too.
[ most likely. even if the tsukishima estate would've been turned inside out by the police by now, karasuno wouldn't exactly be kind enough to leave him be. family can be annoying like that. ]
So, Prince Charming. Why did you become a cop?
no subject
The mice would need to learn how to use buttons and open electronic bars.
[Police was aware of that. And very cautious. Kuroo's not high enough in ranks to put his own input there.]
Why? When you live with house full of cops, you tend to get influenced. [Kuroo took a turn and drove closely behind the other police cars.]
no subject
[ in case you've forgotten he's mafia!!
he likes teasing him though. likes this thing they have where he's asking sweet, harmless questions and pretending to be totally innocent when not while he's being escorted to the station. he tries to wriggle his hands out of the cuffs but they're too sturdy on his wrists. a tragedy.
he leans forward, close to where kuroo is driving, leaning his chin on the screen that separates him from the cop. ]
So you're a nice guy? That's sweet.
If influence is all you need, I got plenty of it. [ he leans back, smiling. ]
no subject
Well, mindless, innocent looking chit-chat is way better than when he arrests punks and they keep throwing threats at him, yelling and thrashing around in the back seat. It feels nice having a nice, clean arrest for once.
Except for paperwork. Kuroo's not looking forward another all nighter at the station.]
I prefer staying on the neutral side. I like justice, but I don't like to go around blindly accusing people. I am a nice guy like that.
[Kuroo huffs-] I don't need that kind of influence.
no subject
We both know you won't keep me for long. Karasuno's not a small-time criminal organization.
But you should consider your options before you. Especially when they're being offered so generously.
Kuroo ... Tetsurou, right? I think I heard some of your colleagues calling you that. [ a gentle smile. ] Why don't we talk a bit more .... honestly to each other?
no subject
[His brows furrow a bit at the 'offer to chat openly'. Isn't this what mafia does- talks to people to drag them into their schemes and family? Kuroo's not a susceptible person and he was always wary of things criminals say to him.]
What? Are you going to come out and confess to me your crimes but say that they were for the greater cause and that you were protecting ones you love? Because if it's that, you need to find something else, because I already protect people as a cop.
no subject
[ he has no doubts that there are people within their organization who were there for the sake of money or other relationships they can't let go of. not him. he was born to it and had taken to that kind of life like a fish to water. if he has any complaints, it's that he doesn't have enough power on his side to utilize people the way he needs them to be - all for the sake of the family. ]
What I'm offering is a compromise. The two of us can help each other intimately.
[ alright, he might be joking about the 'intimately'. but he's serious about the rest. ]
no subject
Isn't that a bit impossible since you'll be in jail?
[Kuroo's not going to let him waltz out of police station just because they had sex.]
Also that would jeopardize my reputation as a cop. You want me to lose my job so badly huh?
no subject
Imagine having contacts within the very organization you're aiming to defeat.
Certainly that's something worth considering.
[ fingers tap onto the edge of the window, close to where the line of his shoulder was behind the tempered glass. it seems as if kei was tracing it as it curves, down to the edge of his seat. ] I can be very generous, you know.
no subject
[Tsukishima had the aura of person that could convince you that one plus one is three. And Kuroo would lie if he wasn't tempted. He's extremely tempted. It's that all that training that he went through that's keeping him in check right now.]
What you want me to do? Release you? You know I can't. [Kuroo muttered as he turned from major highway onto the road towards police station.]
no subject
I'm not expecting you to release me. That's up to my lawyers to figure out how.
On the other hand, we can always keep in touch, officer.
[ don't be such a stranger. he leans back again, feeling utterly bored of the whole ordeal while he was in the backseat. daichi would be disappointed he let himself get captured like this, karasuno has such strict rules. but it's his first time, hopefully the other crows will be lenient on him. kei has no such fear against cops. ]

They finally arrive, after long and boring ride. He steps out of the car and nods at the other officers and walks over to get Tsukishima out. He takes him for his upper arm and helps him out, slamming the door closed.
He leads Tsukishima in the station where the cops are leading prisoners left and right. Kuroo speaks in low voice as they go for the back door that leads to cells-]
Seems your boss is already on the move. [He nods very softly in the direction where one of the guys they arrested earlier (the freckles guy) is being interrogated but there are release papers on the table in front of him.]
no subject
[ he says it softly, only giving the slightest bit of a nod in acknowledgement as he sees yamaguchi in another room. he lets himself be ushered into processing for them to take fingerprints and a photo. kei remarks, rather dryly, that it's the prettiest photo he's ever seen of himself.
but not long after, what he says comes true. there is a lawyer who introduces himself to the receptionist as a guy "for tsukishima kei", and tsukishima, for his part, already looks bored, though he's keeping an eye on his surroundings and keeping track of the people around them - including, of course, the guys that kuroo talks to.
once they had a chance to settle, he tells kuroo, ]
You seem rather popular.
no subject
After he brought in Tsukishima, a mild chaos of paperwork ensued. Kuroo was basically running left and right, gathering all of the folders and information that was gathered. For few hours he was swarmed and by the time everything settled, most of the people left.
Sans him and Tsukishima who was in the holding. And since Kuroo had ton of paperwork to do, his shift seemed to stretch into the night.
He sighed loudly once he plopped down, glancing at Tsukishima:] Popular? Where did you get that from? Those are my bosses loading me with paperwork, [he nods at the table. Yaku disappeared earlier so he couldn't drop some of it on him.]
no subject
Paperwork is still important work, you know? It's good that they trust you.
The offer's still on the table, by the way. [ completely nonchalant as he says it. ] Your rather attractive face isn't excusing you from anything.
[ ah, but he's not above using flattery to get what he wants. ]
no subject
He cleared his throat, pretending to read a report on his desk (but is really reading one sentence over and over again and doesn't even know what it says)] You are still in the jail, remember? Even if I am to accept the offer, it's impossible right now.
[Well, it's night shift and there aren't many police officers around. Most of them are on-call. Probably if they really tried to, they'd be able to hide somewhere and, well...
Kuroo slapped himself mentally, but still sneaked glances towards Tsukishima.]
no subject
when he finally gets the time, he tells kuroo: ]
I like the pastry shop near the cinema house. [ rather thoughtfully: ] Around three in the afternoon, they give out free samples.
You should stop by, officer.
[ he'll be waiting, don't be boring and disappoint him. ]
that 'don't be boring' part reminds me of sherlock XD
When Tsukishima comes over, he looks like a mess, with tie undone and hair worse than before. He almost forgot all of their flirting because of the work. But despite that, he rested the folders against his shoulder and smiled-]
Sounds tempting. I'll think about it.
[He can't say that he'll go because of people around them but... Kuroo was intrigued. Tsukishima didn't seem like anyone he ever met before, and that has nothing to do with mafia aspect.
When he got home, he took a shower and a quick nap. An all nighter didn't do anything to for the bags under his eyes. He woke up two hours before the -date-. He dressed nicely, in jeans and nice, white thin sweater with black red undershirt. He pulled on the shoes and picked up his jacket and car keys and went out. He didn't want to be late and, luckily, he wasn't. He was five minutes early. So he parked and tried to fix up his hair a bit.]
i've never watched!
of course the cafe owner knows him. the waiters as well, who immediately greet him as soon as he walks into the cafe, going over the displays to check the cakes for the week. he finds it cute that kuroo went through the trouble of fixing his hair for him. ]
Good to see you, Kuroo.
ahh xD
But when he finally showed up, Kuroo relaxed. He smiled, eyeing the cakes that are in the showcase, especially chocolate one with strawberries through it-]
Good to see you too, Tsukishima-san. I almost thought you fooled me with this invitation.
