[Shin's put into the holding cell and his cuffs are removed. The guards leave and lock the door behind him. He goes to the bench and flops down, putting his face in his hands as he leans over his knees.

He's got evidence of normally wearing a bunch of piercings on his ears and one on his lip. His hair is dyed blue and spiked. His clothes are torn, and they've given him some replacement footwear so that he didn't have his steel-toed boots any more.

Unfortunately for him, he still reeks of weed.]

She's cursing out the guards the entire way to the cell, throwing any insult that comes to mind at him. She's roughly shoved into the cell, but immediately makes a go for the guards, though one might notice that she is holding back a bit.

[She's dragged in, cooperating to some degree, even if it doesn't look it. She knows she's not breaking out with an escort and cuffed, but she's not going to be a good little girl either. [Her voice could be heard from the moment she enters the building, and she only stops for a moment when they uncuff her and shove her into the cell. She immediately throws a punch at the guard. It connects, but the others are pulling him out and locking the cell door just as she slams against it. She growls at them, and it's enough to make one of them flinch.

It's not her first rodeo at least.]

[Despite making the ground shake on the walk down the hall, Potemkin didn't come here to be intimidating. Respected as per his station, but Patricia is still a little girl (mostly. At least half.) and the big softie can't find it in himself to press her too hard beyond that. So even though he has to look down 5 feet to see her (due to his perfect posture while on duty), his voice is almost conversational.]

[Why they're throwing a normal looking guy into the cell with the fish woman isn't immediately apparent - but they are being extremely careful about it. There are no fewer than three sets of cuffs on his wrists, and two sets of leg irons. The guy himself appears to be... remarkably zen about the whole situation.]

[Kuroo's family had always prided themselves in working for the police in some sort of way. His aunt was a lawyer, his grandfather a detective, his father is regional judge and Kuroo, after years of training and studying, is police officer himself. The first few years working at the police station passed uneventful. Minor robberies, drug addicts, complaints from elderly people about 'pesky, loud music from those teenagers' and mountains of paperwork.

That's what Kuroo's life has been for a long time. He'd work from 7am to 15pm, pick up paperwork and drive home, work some more there and then repeat the cycle the next day.

Until a case came up. An actual case rolled in that promised not so calm month for Kuroo. On one side, he was excited about it, but on the other hand, it was business with mafia. Kuroo could deal with any type of criminal by now- he turned 29 two months ago and saw all sorts of people pass the hallways- from junkies to murderers.

But somehow, for some reason, whenever he had to talk to someone that's labelled as 'mafia' person, he'd get goosebumps crawl down his back. He's not scared of them, they can't intimidate him so easily either. But there was always something unsettling about it.

So when his fellow police officers and other police force stormed down the Tsukishima manor and interrupted the funeral of one of their family members, the chill came back to hassle Kuroo on back of his neck. He had his gun out, keeping an eye on the youngest from the family, according to the detectives. Tall, thin and blonde. He had his hands up but with a sneer on his face that's making Kuroo agitated like cat on hot, tin roof.]

Don't even think about it.

[Kuroo immediately said when he saw guy's fingers twitch. He never killed anyone, but his shooting is accurate and he's more than capable of injuring.]

[This is it, he's been caught, his life is over. Thaum had practiced shifting to an Inkling form for weeks, how was he supposed to know that there were still things that gave him away?? Or that some adult Inklings would still know what those were??

Of course, the fact that security caught him trying to tamper with the Splatfest video equipment doesn't help either, but.

Earlier there had been a lot of yelling and flailing as a couple of Inkopolis police held him down, and he'd refused to give them any information on family to contact so they'd tossed him in here while they figure out what to do with him. The cell is designed so Inklings (and by extension, Octolings like himself) can't escape - all glass and plastic that ink won't stick to, with no grates or gaps big enough to squeeze through. And here he is, back against the wall, curled up with his head in his arms and his tentacles splayed about him, not even bothering to stay in his disguise or put them in their usual ponytail.

After all those tantrums earlier, Thaum is just exhausted. Tired and upset and afraid and totally not on the verge of tears, what are you even talking about. They took his grandfather's charger from him, will he ever get it back? Are they just going to lock him up forever? Or worse? He came here to be a hero, but he's just turned into an absolute failure.]

[At least Thaum had some quiet for a little while. That can't be said for him now, when heavy, struggling footsteps and half-choked yelps begin to echo down the hallway, coming closer and closer to his cell until the door opens. An Inkling is hastily shoved inside before it snaps shut again, locked tightly, and the Inkling whips around and slams into it a beat too late.]

AAUGH!

[The Inkling falls back, and if Thaum looks, he'll notice it's a girl, and she's relatively beat up. One of her eyes looks puffy and swollen, as if someone punched her in the face, and her knuckles are raw and inky. For now, she's sprawled out on her back, growling between gasps, clearly coming down from some rush of adrenaline and anger. She even thrashes a bit.]

Stupid...stuuuuupid...stupid jerk!
