Getting from A to B becomes a lot more hazardous when the other people involved throw out the rule book to try and stop you from reaching B. I made it as far as just outside the city.

can't you just run in a straight line with that shield out in front of you and watch literally everything crumble?

As durable as the shield is, I don't like to take chances running at explosives. Even if it did deflect them, or the bullets, that is another set of problems.

They could hit someone or something else.

And I can run fairly fast, but not as fast as the truck manages to get me past them.

The motorcycle worked better, but it doesn't offer enough defense for my partner.
