[His guard does drop a bit. At least he had the sense to keep that up, but he can hear their sincerity. He's still not completely convinced, though.] Why would you do that?

[Shin leans forward again, looking between his legs to hide his face a bit. No way he wanted them to see him looking like he's going to cry, but he is relieved. And he knows he's lucky. No matter how tough he can act, and scary a look he could give, his story would probably make it to the news, or some guard might spill it, and that would be it. He'd get tossed around like a rag doll.

He covers his face with a hand, trying to hide his emotions. He'd be lying if he said he wasn't terrified. He manages to keep his voice steady, if low,] Thanks.
