[It was difficult to not notice the blind man eating what was probably too much. Baron was only here due to his friend Muta, a fat cat whom had disappeared some time ago. Perhaps to find some more food in the kitchens? Who knew, but Baron was kindly waiting for his friend Toto, a stone crow statue with a soul, to pick him up.

[Karen walks into the Denny’s shaking her umbrella from the downpour. She’s mostly in her own world until she looks up and spots Frank Castle sitting in a booth across the restaurant from her. It’s been quite some time since they last exchanged words. The last time she spoke to him she told him that he was dead to her, which was a pretty final end to their... Was it a friendship? At times it seemed like it, but she was never really 100% certain.

She’s not sure what it is, but something makes her walk over to him. Without saying a word, Karen slides into the seat across from him and takes a seat. There’s a small smile on her face, albeit a faint one, that says she’s here to be friendly. For a second she sits in silence, studying his face. Finally, she speaks in a low voice meant only for his ears.]

Hi, Frank. Never imagined you as a Denny’s guy.

So here she was, after a bloody awful duel that had nearly taken off her left (and Dominant!) arm! She was hungry after being seen to in hospital, and being released, of course, because really now: she was still standing on her own two (shaky) feet, and most of the beds in Spell Damage and down in Potions and Plant Poisonings were taken up by people who... were not so fortunate as that. And so... She had been released back into the wild, wide world that was this bloody galaxy, and thus it was she found herself sitting at the only place that was still open; even Tom was asleep at this hour, unable to feed her at the Leaky Cauldron, unless of course, she wanted to test her newly-repaired arm out in his kitchen for herself-- which she would pass on, ta!

Anyway, she was here, sitting down across from a very dark and broody stranger, who nevertheless struck her as-- familiar somehow... She shrugged off the sensation of deja vu, figuring it must be the potions they'd given her for the pain that were making her feel so strangely giddy at the sight of this young man.

"Sorry, sir; is this seat taken...?" She grimaces apologetically at him as he looks up at her, no doubt with a sharpness that suggests maybe she ought to find someone else to sit with....

[ Zia steps into the Denny's and looks around. It's late but every table still manages to be filled. Zia can't imagine why so many people are here. Maybe they just really want pancakes, like her. She keeps searching for a table and her eyes finally fall upon one, the least crowded by far. A strange man sits there, a few years older than her and a little scary looking. A little sad looking, too.

Maybe he's just like the Kid; scary looking on the outside but nice on the inside. It doesn't look like the other tables are going to clear up any time soon, so she walks over, standing tentatively in front of the table. ] Um... do you mind if I sit here?

[She's sitting alone in a booth waiting for her pancakes with a tall glass of OJ in front of her. She's writing notes on a pad of paper, scribbles really. When her order arrives and she goes to put her notepad away she finds that it has gotten slightly sticky. Yuck]

He was supposed to kill his father on that bridge, to be done with his family and the ever-present call of the light. Instead, Han welcomed him back with open arms and Kylo followed. The whole lot of them had been on the run ever since. By this point, everyone was getting desperate for a hot meal.

They were somewhere in the mid-rim, far enough from Kylo's list of First Order outposts to be comfortable, but close enough to Hutt space to be on guard - the perfect place to find a greasy diner or two willing to serve up a meal and look the other way. They split up to draw less attention, with Kylo and Rey ending up at Denny's with eggs, bacon, nerf sausage and (of course) several stacks of pancakes between them.
